How do we solve the population problem?
Every planate or space has certain "Carrying capacity" means it can provide nutrition and space to live up to a limited number of organisms. e.g. in the small house how many people can live? as the number people increases it will reduce the quality of living.
The number of people on our planet has doubled to more than 7 billion since the 1960s and it is expected that by 2060 there will be at least 10 billion of us. The question is Where are we all going to live and how are we going to make enough food and fuel for our ever-growing population?
1. New ways to make food in laboratories at a faster rate.
2. New sources of food like nutritious bacteria fungi who grow at faster rate than plants
3. Controlling childbirth rate.
4. Moving to other parts of earth where is harsh environment is there
5. Floating cities on ocean
6. Colonies on other planets like mars
7. Underground cities
These may sound like sci-fi solutions, but we might have to start taking them more seriously.
